Chapter 5-Amsterdam

Last year the people in science went to Amsterdam in April, and that was a trip we will never forget.

We did lots of things, visited many places and learnt a lot of the Dutch culture over there, but there was one moment that I'll remember ever.

I think it was the second day we were there, and at night we went to a disco called 'The Milky Way', where we had a really good time and even met some guys from Nervion! It was really good, but it wasn't what I will remember.

I was going to sleep at Jocea's Grandaparents', with Ana Left (her houst), Jocea, Pablo and Moene (Pablo´s Dutch partner). We arrived cycling and we were surprised because of the amount of stairs we had to walk through. We talk a little and we went to sleep because we were exhausted.

At the next morning, when we got up we realised Moene and Pablo had already left, so the three of us who stayed there were going to have breakfast. Ana and I were at the kitchen, having this 'hajosllag' toast or whatever they called it, and Jocea told us to go into the living room to meet her grandparents.

They were very nice, but her grandfather stayed at the window, reading a newspaper in silent, and he looked as Santa Claus, so I told Ana and we couldn't stop laughing. We were very embarrased and had such an uncomfortable situation.

Chapter 4-Cheating

Cheating has been always part of our exams, so some of my classmates have become cheating experts. That's not me. I have almost never cheated, but I have an anecdote that I'll always remember.

We were doing a Chemistry exam with Mari Paz in second year. I had studied and everything was going very well. But I couldn't do the las exercise. I got nervous and I didn't know what to do. Suddenly, I saw Valls like he had already finished his exam. Therefor, I saked him for that exercise.

He tried to tell me how to do it, but he was too far and I couldn't understand him. He suddenly took his toilet paper (I don't even know now why he brings it to school instead of clinex) and started to write there. I was too confused, but, astonishingly, he threw me a paper ball, and despite the long distance,  I caught it in the air. I looked inside and there it was the exercise done.

I felt very nervous, but I copied it and pass it away to another classmate who didn't know the answer neither. At the end, I got a good mark, thanks to Valls. I won't forget that never.

To sum up, I'll tell everybody that is better studying than cheating, it can be very risky.

Webquest

No tengo mucho que comentar en cuanto a trabajo en parejas pues lo he realizado en solitario, que creo que a veces es más fácil puesto que no tienes que llegar a un acuerdo con nadie más, tú tomas tus propias decisiones y expones lo que tú crees que es necesario.

Chapter 3-Classmates, Gabri

Gabri is a guy who has been with us in the bilingual group until Bachillerato.

I can remember his first years, when he was so shy and had short hair. He wasn't very good at English, so he used to fell it. He wasn't very sociable neither. However, he was nice, so as I had known him from Primary School, we began being good friends.

But in third year he changed a lot: he stopped being shy, he changed his loo (having long hair) and used to go out more. He was much more friendly. He really had a clear Turning Point. But he wasn't still very good at school. He left the group because English wasn't his speciallity. Astonishingly, in the other group he got good marks at English!

I think all of us miss him in our way (even Mrs Celis), as we also miss everyone who had left us.

Presentación

Bueno, aunque un poco tarde, pero esta es la primera presentación que realizo en el blog. No lo hice antes por el poco uso que le daba, pero de ahora en adelante tendrá más uso.

Me llamo Jaime Rodríguez, curso el 2º de Bachillerato en el IES Nestor Almendros en la sección de ciencias de la salud en Tomares, donde resido. Realmente el uso de este blog (a parte del uso que le dimos el año pasado con Gloria en EF) será mayoritariamente para la asignatura de TIC.

Y esta asignatura nos es muy útil, ya que las TIC han tenido una gran incidencia en nuestra vida como muestro en la siguiente línea del tiempo, donde se ve su influencia en el desarrollo de mi aún corta vida.

Chapter 2- Teachers

One of my favourite teachers I've ever had is Adriana. She was a French teacher and she was really nice.

She was old, but didn't look so old; she dressed like a youger woman and understood so well children. It was our first year in the high school and also the first year I had French lessons, but she didn't care, she knew that and she tried to make us the subject easier.

Her classes were not very difficult, she was very pacient and also knew how to explain things clearly. But she did not let us relax, and we didn't do it, unconsciensly we wouldn't do it. Exams were also not so difficult, and at the end I had good marks and learnt a lot.

It was a pity that she went out. I haven't seen her again, and I would like to be with her again in French. To sum up, one of the best teachers.

Chapter 1-My earliest memory

My earliest memory in the high school is the first day that I came here.

Well, the really first day was when I was still at primary school. It was a visit we had to do. It seem to me like everyone was very old and it was not for us.

But my first day was more special. I knew some poeple from school, and other from playing football with them in a team. We were all in the playground. Suddenly, the bell rang, so we had to go in, look for our classes and start queuing.

Mrs Celis appeared doing the check in. We went into the class and sat in alphabetic order. I didn't know the people I was sitting with, Pablo and Sendra, so it wasn't as good as I wanted.

And that's all I can remember from my first day.

Town Tradition

My parents are both from Seville, and so are my grandparents. One of the most famous tradition in Seville is "La Feria de Abril", in which sevillians enjoy during a week-holiday the great atmosphere it produces.

The main thing you can do in La Feria is staying at places called "casetas" with your family or friends just drinking an special drink called "Rebujito" and eating with them, while you hear flamenco, the typical music here, music that you can also dance with the traditionals "sevillanas". Furthermore, there is a place just for children with a fairground that has lots of attractions to enjoy.

But La Feria is not only drink, eat, dance and going to attractions, for sevillians is something more, it is a feeling, a period in which you feel Seville's atmosphere and sevillians in its maximun splendor; a place in which you really know how friendly sevillians are.

For me it is also a special holiday, not only because it is near the summer and you get your school marks, it is a week in which I can also feel that feeling that people from other parts of the world feel the first time they come to the Feria.

Oliver Twist-Passage

"The sun shone brigthly the next morning and lit the room where Nancy lay dead. There was blood everywhere. Sikes threw the stick into the fire and changed his clothes, which were covered in blood. He took his dog, looked at the dead woman, then quickly left."

I really like this passage because firstly it shows a contrast between the hapiness of a new sun-shining happy day with the sadness of a death, a death caused by the loved Nancy felt with Oliver. She put her life into risk only because she wanted Oliver to go away of the thieves.

It also shows how easy it looks to kill somebody and just left the death body without having any worries or just the ones on burning your clothes and your stick.

Oliver Twist

This story is based on the England of 1800, where child exploitation was a common thing and where living was very hard. This is the atmosphere where Oliver grows up: poverty and dirt. He is noble orphan  who is forced to do bad things.

I recommend this book because it shows you how easy you can be cheated and persuaded in order to do bad things that you don't want to. Fuerthermore, it shows you that you have to deffend people that are not able to do it itself. There are also some unexpected things that happen, as Rose's death. Besides, it isn't a difficult book.

Summary-Book review

OLIVER TWIST
In Oliver's birth, which was helped by Old Sally, his mother died. He went to an orphanat where Mrs Mann treated the children very badly. She spoke with Mr Bumble, who took Oliver with him in order to educate him. He was sent to an undertaker beacuse of his bad behaviour, where he had to run away as he fight with a boy in the shop he used to work in for Mr and Mrs Sowerberry. He went to London, where he met Fagin, Charley Bates and Artful Dodgen. He realised they were thieves and police caught Oliver although he hadn't done anything. He explained it to the police and Mr Brownlow accepted to kept Oliver in his house with Mrs Bedwin. Oliver took some books from Mr Brownlow who knew he wasn't a thief, but in the way he was caught by Sikes and Nancy, who worked for Fagin. They persuade Oliver to robb a house, but he was shot in the arm and left there. He looked for help in the same house where he was really well treated by Mrs Maylie and Mrs Rose when Old Sally, the only one who knew about Oliver's real identity, died. Monks, the rich boy who Fagin worked for asked to the girl who was at Old Sally's death, asking her about Oliver, so he actually knew the truth. But Nancy, who loved Oliver listened to Monks so she tried to alert Mr Brownlow and Rose. As she alerted them, Sikes kill her. Finally, Mr Brownlow and Rose showed people Oliver's real idetnity: he was Monks' brother and he was given his father's inheritance at the expense of Monks.

Opinion Essay- Online Dating

Nowadays it is frequent to find online friends in social networks, but is it really a good way of meeting people? I do not think so, we should just use it with people we know, not to meet them.

 On the one hand, you can see it as a positive way of being related for shy people. But if you are shy the first thing you have to do is to change, not to hide yourself behind a computer, you need to go and show people that you are not shy anymore. However, it can be a fast and good method of speaking to people and tell your friends, for example, where and when are you meeting or if you will hav any problem.

 On the other hand, and as I have said, it can be counterproductive for shy people which will still be shy, and it can be bad when looking for jobs and other aspects of life. Astonishingly, lots of people get into these social networks, and everyday more and more people log into them. Furthermore, you can be deceived because of some fake-profile people or cheated by people who just log in to make jokes to the other ones. 

To sum up, it may not be so bad when speaking to friends, but it can be really bad for shy people or inocent people as children.

Creative writing

This photo was taken in Amsterdam, in the amazing trip I have recently done with some school mates.

It shows us, having a relax time between the stressing routine we were used to have. For us it was a moment of peace, to stop, breath pure air in the middle of the park while talking in a relax way. We were going to the musseum next to the park, going back to the routine of visits, waiting four our Dutch friends who where supposed to be studying at school. It meant the return to our non-stop timetable, interesting yet a little bit stressing.

 While I was laying in the fresh grass, with the gentle breeze hitting my whole tired body, I started to remember some memories I had there. I was on the same place as 8 months ago, when I came with my family and where we exactly stopped to have a nice rest. Both times it came to my mind a park I used to go in the beach with my cousins in summer.

We used to go after lunch, when you just wanted to rest and have a siesta. We brought towels with us, so we could lie down without worrying about the horrible itchings it caused us. We used to go with a nice cold and sweet ice cream, which was one of the best things in my chilhood, this ice cream with chocolate, almonds and vanilla. So, as I was saying, my cousins my brother and I just lied down, sunbathing and eating our ice cream. It felt as a mixture of a hot that warm you after lunch, when you feel colder, the cold and sweetness the ice cream gave you, and the sleep you also felt because of the time.

 Remembering all those things I almost fell asleep, and, in both cases, I had to go back to the real life, leaving back my honiest memories.

Opinion Essay: Should "El Pep-" continue training Barça FC?

In my opinion, Guardiola took the best option. I personally believe that he should not go on training Barça.

 As he said, these four years in Camp Barça with so many matches and competitions each season have burnt him out a lopt, so I can imagine how tired he can be.

 Furthermore, I also think that Barcelona, which was at the very top (it is still at the top, but not so clearly) is starting to crumble at the same time as his rival, Real Madrid, is getting closer and closer, so that they are actually at the same level.

 Moreover, some of his most important players are getting old,such as Puyol, who was injured in his knee again, or Xavi, who can not compete so much as he used to.

 It is also clear that it is almost imposible to win again as much as he has won, so he would leave with all the records won.

 To sum up,I completely agree with him in his decission, because of all those reasons that have forced him to leave FC Barcelona.

#TeImaginasUnMusicalSeñorial?

La idea de nuestro #Teimaginas la tuvimos clara desde el principio, hacer una especie de teatro basándonos en los compadres que salen en este vídeo: Sabíamos que este tema iba a llamar la atención y conseguiría además hacer reír y divertir a los espectadores. Como este era nuestro principal objetivo, también decidimos bailar. Tuvimos varias ideas sobre más de un baile, así que terminamos tomando la opción de hacer más de un baile, en plan musical. Ese musical lo haríamos basado en una conversación central, la cual más tarde decidimos que haríamos en un bar sentados, con camarero incluido. En esa conversación también trataríamos diversos temas con un toque de humor y algún que otro comentario gracioso. El siguiente paso sería como hacer tantas canciones y tantos bailes, para lo que se nos ocurrió una gran idea: a la vez que hablábamos podíamos decir una palabra o frase clave en el estribillo de una canción, y después que esta sonara y bailarla. Esto también nos beneficiaba ya que no disponíamos de demasiado tiempo como para bailar alguna canción entera y no exigiría una coreografía muy compleja, solo unos cuantos pasos por coreografía. Las canciones que seleccionamos, por orden son las siguientes: Para el día 18 queremos hacerlo con un poco más de preparación e incluir alguna sorpresa, esperamos que venga mucha gente a vernos! ;)

#Kascomío? Postrecito!

Kike y yo, que por cierto ganamos en el concurso de carritos, hemos elaborado un postre tan espectacular como sano y sabroso.;)

El postre consta de un plato con gofres de miel unidos por chocolate y frutas.

Las propiedades de los productos son las siguientes:

Gofres: Ecológico (100% de los ingredientes de origen agrario se han obtenido según las normas de producción biológica), con miel (superalimento), vitamina E, cereales completos, sin conservantes ni edulcorantes, azúcar no refinado (no es aditivo), grasas vegetales no hidrogenadas, harina de trigo integral.

Chocolate: Se trata de un chocolate con más del 70% de cacao, por lo cual es un superalimento, tiene fructosa en vez de azúcar, con poder antioxidante (fuente natural de polifenoles, nos protegen de los radicales libres y además mejora la salud cardiovascular), sin colorantes ni conservantes, y su propiedad más determinante a la hora de elegirlo para un postre: su sabor, que además nos mejora el ánimo.

Fresas: Son de temporada, ayuda en las dietas de adelgazamiento ya que el 85% de su composición es agua, contienen vitamina A, vitamina E, potasio y magnesio mayoritariamente, aunque su principal valor es el alto contenido en vitamina C. También son diuréticas y tienen un importante contenido de ácido fólico.

Plátano: Ricos en potasio (lo toman deportistas para que no se rompan fibras musculares, que lleguen bien los impulsos nerviosos) y muy energéticos (aunque no engorda, en contra de lo que muchos creen), estimula la digestión, mejora la circulación, también tiene vitaminas A y C. También combate gastroenteritis y úlceras. Rica en taninos (astringente, para combatir diarreas).

Pera: Es astringente (rica en taninos), diurética, rica en fibra (soluble, que actúa como regulador de la función intestinal y nos ayuda a eliminar el colesterol malo (LDL), vitaminas (ácido fólico, B2) y minerales como el potasio.

Manzana:Es una de las frutas más completas y enriquecedoras en la dieta. Un 85% de su composición es agua, rica en fibra, que mejora el tránsito intestinal y entre su contenido mineral sobresale el potasio. Las extraordinarias propiedades dietéticas que se le atribuyen a esta fruta se deben en gran medida a los elementos fitoquímicos que contiene, entre ellos, flavonoides y quercitina, con propiedades antioxidantes.

Naranjas: Ricas en vitamina A, B1, B2 y C, también rica en sales como el potasio, el calcio y el fósforo. Como es un cítrico destaca la ya mencionada vitamina C, que nos ayuda en esta época del año a combatir los resfriados y otras enfermedades (es una fruta de temporada). También es diurética. Estimula el sistema nervioso y son bajas en calorías.

Y ahora la preparación, tanto en vídeos como en fotos:
Se pelan todas las frutas, se funde el chocolate y se hace el zumo de naranja, la presentación la dejamos a vuestra imaginación, nosotros hemos puesto encima de los gofres capas de chocolate y frutas y encima otro gofre repitiendo lo mismo. Así hasta 3 pisos rodeados por la fruta y chocolate que sobran, todo acompañado de un exquisito zumo natural de naranja!





Y por fin el resultado final!




Por cierto, estaba muy muy bueno, si queréis probarlo, nos llamáis a Kike o a mi, lo hacemos baratito!;)

Hoy empezamos el día Kike y yo con un poquito de deporte antes de hacer el postre!;)

Primero empezamos con unos estiramientos, y despues unos abdominales, flexiones y un poquito de triceps!





Y después unas carreritas, unas series de 20 minutitos y 5 series de velocidad, os dejo unos vídeos ;)






Y para terminar un partidito de padel, que se ha saldado con una apabullante victoria mía sobre Kike! jaja ;D

Aquí dejo algunas fotitos en uno de los talleres menos efusivos en estas últimas semanas. Gente disfrutando al máximo de este particular juego, echando unas risas y hasta sudando... Sin duda me hubiese gustado que las fotos se hubieran hecho en el primer día o incluso en el segundo o el tercero de los talleres del recreo, ya que había casi el doble de gente participando, pero bueno, tampoco nos quedamos cortos en ese miércoles :P un abrazo desde uno de los talleres más exitosos.

BALONMANO - #contagia2

Esta clase la daremos Enrique y yo, y tratará del balonmano.

Explicación rápida:
El balonmano consiste en 2 equipos de 7 jugadores (6 más el portero)que juegan en un campo rectangular, con una portería a cada lado del campo y el objetivo del juego es desplazar una pelota a través del campo valiéndose fundamentalmente de las manos para intentar introducirla dentro de la meta contraria, acción que se denomina gol. El equipo que marque más goles al concluir el partido, que consta de dos partes de 30 minutos, es el que resulta ganador, pudiendo darse también el empate.
No se pueden dar más de 3 pasos sin botar el balón, si paras de botar no puedes volverlo a hacer pero si dar 3 pasos, no se puede entrar al área y por supuesto no tocar el balón de rodilla hacia abajo ni empujar, sujetar o frenar al adversario con manos o pies.

Ejercicios balonmano:
-Pases- Por parejas o tríos y un balón por grupo, se realizan pases progresivamente a más distancia, esto servirá para calentar un poco y tomar una primera toma de contacto tanto con el balón como la fuerza e intensidad que cada uno deberá realizar al pasar la pelota. Durará unos 5 minutos.

-Posesión: Se hacen dos equipos que se reparten por todo el campo. El objetivo es tener tantos puntos como sea posible y estos solo se consiguen haciendo un número determinado de pases entre un equipo (donde la deben tocar todos los integrantes del mismo) sin que el equipo contrario tome posesión del balón o lo intercepte. El objetivo de este juego es entrar más en calor y tener la intensidad en cuanto a velocidad de juego de lo que puede ser un partido real, además de coger habilidades como el desmarque, el pase o la visión de juego. Durará de 6 a 7 minutos.

-Lanzamientos: Se realizarán por parejas y de diferentes formas, pero ante la misma base: las parejas salen de uno en uno desde el medio campo hacia la frontal del área realizando el ejercicio indicando y finalizando tirando a portería, donde habrá un portero que puede ser voluntario o uno de los organizadores. Durará de 6 a 7 minutos.

-Porte a porte: Se divide el campo en varias secciones, y por parejas, en varios campos, se disputará una especie de partido de uno contra uno, donde cada jugar solo tiene que coger la pelota y tirar hacia la portería rival. Al gol se cambia de jugador. Durará de 6 a 7 minutos.

-Partidito: Se hacen dos o tres equipos, según el número de participantes, y se realiza un partido con las normas básicas. Si son 3 equipos, estos se cambiarán a los 5 min o a los 2 goles. Durará el tiempo restante de la clase.

Taller de Fútbol-Tenis

NORMATIVA:

-¿En qué consiste?
Es un juego de 2 equipos que se reparten en una pista similar a la de tenis, con una red en medio de ellos. Cada equipo consta de 3 ó 4 jugadores (según el número de gente que haya) y tienen que pasar el balón a la otra pista con cualquier parte del cuerpo salvo las manos. Si bota dos veces en campo rival es punto, pero si sale fuera es punto para el otro equipo. Solo se permite un bote antes de que un jugador la toque, es decir, no está permitido darle un toque, que luego bote y luego darle otro toque más, es sancionado con punto para el rival. El equipo que consiga un punto saca, y si sigue ganado sigue sacando (desde el fondo de pista). Tiene que sacar en cada equipo un jugador dos veces, y luego se cambia rotando y pasando por todos los jugadores. Si en el saque no pasa al campo contrario o sale fuera se considera media (como en tenis) y se tiene derecho a otro saque; si este también falla se adjudicará el punto al otro equipo. Los organizadores también actuarán de árbitros.

-Sitio y hora
En el recreo (11.15) en la pista, los miércoles.

-Material
Ropa deportiva, tiza para trazar las líneas del campo, bancos o vallas para la red y lo más importante, el balón (que preferiblemente será de fútbol, pero si no vale cualquier esférico como el de voleibol).

-¿Y si…?
Lluvia: si el campo no está en condiciones (será evaluado por los organizadores) y no se puede practicar en otro lugar, será suspendida la sesión.
Equipo no presentado: Derrota automática.

Si surge alguna cuestión más, quien quiera se puede dirigir a cualquiera de los organizadores.

1000 cranes for peace-Drug Dealing

The drug dealing is a deal that has, incredibly, a close relationship with some governments. Many of them are corrupt and make money with drug dealing. One example can be Mexico, were the drug dealing is a common thing and everybody knows that the government has influence on it because they take money from this dealing. So anybody do anything, or at least, they can’t.
Another worrying thing is the ease that is for a teenager to buy drugs. Almost in every disco every weekend there is an unbelievable number of teenager consuming drugs. Some programs have tried to film the ease of buying drug, and they showed that everybody can buy some. It is very worrying because many teenagers are too immature to know what they are really doing and they are very influenced by their friends, and there is a low conscience about that theme.
If we consider alcohol as a drug, we can say that other type of drug dealing is that many teenagers can buy alcohol, although the law says that they can’t until they are 18, in any supermarket and especially in those Chinese shops, whereas they can buy whatever, they do not mind your age. In supermarkets they are a little bit more legal; if they see that you are too young to buy they say that you can’t. But they don’t mind if an adult buys it for you and gives it to you in the door, because they just sold the alcohol and made money, even knowing that the alcohol is for a minor. This is a fact in the increasing of what we call “Botellón”.
So I think that everybody must get conscience about that, starting from government and going through parents and schools to make a better world and to protect the people that in a non-far future will take the world.
